Cecil Whittaker’s Pizza Review

March 12th, 2008 by themilkcrate

This past Monday was my birthday, and I turned 27. I had to work that day so I didn’t really do anything that spectacular, but that evening we went to grab something for dinner. Those who know me are aware that I rarely go out to eat without some sort of coupon or discount (except for some fast food operations), although there are also those places that I wouldn’t go even with a coupon.

On Monday night we went to Cecil Whittaker’s Pizzaeven though we didn’t have a coupon, but they were running a special of 50% off every menu item. We ended up getting a tortellini dish, a manicotti dish, and a small 9″ St Louis style pizza. It was pretty much what you’d expect from a hole in the wall pizza joint, but I thought it was pretty good. I’ve heard a lot of people say that they don’t like the STL style pizza cause they use provel cheese, but I actually liked it.

And how could I not like it when the whole tab came to just under $10. The 50% off Monday special is definitely worth it.

St Louis style pizza. I am with all the people you have heard say they don’t like it. I don’t mind a thin crust, and a lot of people around here call any thin crust St. Louis style, but yeah, real St. Louis style is one I will pass on every time. GIMMIE MY MOZZARELLA!!!!
