The Milk Crate began as a place for me to share my opinions about various topics and whatever is on my mind. The topics range from mainstream news to offbeat news and include politics, sports, movies, music, and much more. Most importantly though, I don’t exclude any topic from discussion here. You won’t always (if ever) agree with what is said here, and I encourage you to let yourself be heard as well.

You also might be wondering why this site is called The Milk Crate. I agree that it’s not intuitively obvious. I’m sure you’ve all heard of the cliche, getting on your soapbox, and where I went to college there was regularly a place in the commons area where people would do just that. There was a free microphone provided where anyone could get up and talk about whatever they wanted to. Even though, however, this event was called the soapbox, the participants would step up onto a milk crate instead of an actual soapbox. So there you have it… the inspiration for The Milk Crate.
